Privacy Policy

TubeAlfred ("we", "us", "our") builds YouTube tools for founders and operators. This policy covers all TubeAlfred tools, including ChapterFast and TubeHarvest. We respect your privacy and collect only what is necessary to provide the service.

What we collect

TubeHarvest (Chrome extension)

  • Google account email and name — collected via Google OAuth when you sign in. Used to identify your account and check payment status.
  • Payment status — whether you have purchased a paid license. Stored on our server and cached locally in the extension.
  • Extension settings — your preferences (comment count, export method, reply depth, etc.) stored locally in your browser via chrome.storage.local. Never sent to our servers.

TubeHarvest does not collect, store, or transmit the YouTube comments you extract. All extraction happens locally in your browser. Exported data stays on your device.

ChapterFast

  • YouTube video URLs — submitted to generate chapter timestamps. Processed in real time and not stored after generation.

Website (tubealfred.com)

  • Email address — if you subscribe to the YouTube Growth Playbook newsletter. Used only to send the newsletter.
  • Analytics — we use Google Analytics and Vercel Analytics to understand page traffic. These collect anonymous usage data (pages visited, referrer, country). No personal information is tied to analytics.

How we use your data

  • Authenticate your account and verify payment status
  • Provide and improve our tools
  • Send the newsletter (if you subscribed)
  • Understand aggregate usage patterns via analytics

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with third parties for marketing purposes.

Third-party services

We use the following third-party services to operate:

  • Google OAuth — for sign-in authentication. Subject to Google's Privacy Policy.
  • Dodo Payments — for payment processing. We do not store your payment card details. Subject to Dodo Payments' Privacy Policy.
  • Cloudflare — for API hosting and database. User records (email, name, payment status) are stored in Cloudflare D1.
  • Google Analytics & Vercel Analytics — for anonymous website traffic analysis.

Data storage and security

  • Server data (email, name, payment status) is stored in Cloudflare D1, a serverless database with encryption at rest.
  • Extension settings are stored locally in your browser and never leave your device.
  • OAuth tokens are managed by the Chrome Identity API and are not persisted by the extension.
  • All communication between the extension and our API uses HTTPS.

Data retention

Your account data (email, name, payment status) is retained as long as your account exists. If you want your data deleted, contact us and we will remove it within 30 days.

Your rights

You can:

  • Sign out from TubeHarvest at any time, which clears all local data from the extension.
  • Uninstall the extension to remove all locally stored data.
  • Request deletion of your server-side data by emailing us.
  • Unsubscribe from the newsletter via the link in any email.

Children's privacy

Our services are not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be noted by updating the date at the top of this page.
