Privacy Policy

TubeAlfred ("we", "us", "our") builds YouTube tools for founders and operators. This policy covers the TubeAlfred website, free public tools under /tools, ChapterFast, TubeHarvest Extension Pro, TubeHarvest Cloud, and TubeHarvest Cloud Pro. We collect only the information needed to operate, secure, support, and improve those services.

What we collect

Account, billing, and device data

• Google account details - your name, email address, and profile image when you sign in with Google.
• Orders, payments, and entitlements - billing status, product purchases, subscriptions, comment balances, top-ups, and credit balances.
• Extension connection data - device name, hashed device fingerprint, IP address, user agent, last seen timestamps, and API tokens used to keep TubeAlfred extensions connected to your account.

ChapterFast

• YouTube video URLs and video IDs - submitted through the free tool, the app, or the ChapterFast extension.
• Video metadata - public video title, description, transcript language, and thumbnail references when available.
• Transcript data - transcript text and transcript segments fetched from supported providers for chapter generation.
• Generation inputs and outputs - selected mode, style preferences, custom prompts, generation status, generated chapter text, summaries, job history, and credit usage.
• Extension workflow data on YouTube Studio - when you use the ChapterFast extension on studio.youtube.com, it injects chapter workflow UI, reads the current video description editor state, checks whether chapters already exist, and can insert generated chapter text into the description when you ask it to.
• YouTube Studio and TubeAlfred domain access for extension flows - the ChapterFast extension uses studio.youtube.com for the chapter workflow and opens the relevant TubeAlfred app pages for connection, wallet, or custom prompt management.

For signed-in ChapterFast usage, generation history is stored in your account. Public YouTube transcripts and video metadata may also be cached server-side to improve speed, reduce repeated provider requests, and support later generations for the same public video.

TubeHarvest

• TubeHarvest Extension Pro - extension preferences such as export method, reply depth, and comment count are stored locally in your browser via chrome.storage.local.
• TubeHarvest Cloud and Cloud Pro - source video or channel URLs, prepared video lists, video titles, run options, run history, job status, comment counts, export metadata, and account balances.
• Cloud export artifacts - CSV or ZIP files generated for TubeHarvest cloud workflows may be stored on our servers so they can be downloaded from your account.

TubeHarvest Extension Pro performs local browser-side extraction. We do not receive or store the comments you export with the local extension unless you separately use a TubeHarvest cloud workflow.

Website (tubealfred.com)

• Email address - if you subscribe to the YouTube Growth Playbook newsletter. Used only to send the newsletter.
• Analytics and diagnostics - we use Google Analytics and Vercel Analytics to understand page traffic and page usage.
• Anti-abuse signals - IP-based rate limiting is used on certain public endpoints, including the free YouTube chapter generator. If Cloudflare Turnstile is enabled on a form, verification tokens are processed to reduce abuse.

How we use your data

• Authenticate your account and manage extension access
• Verify purchases, subscriptions, credits, comment balances, and entitlements
• Generate chapters, queue jobs, run TubeHarvest cloud scrapes, and provide exports
• Cache public video transcripts and metadata for performance and reliability
• Protect the service against abuse, fraud, and unauthorized access
• Provide support and investigate failures
• Send the newsletter (if you subscribed)
• Understand aggregate usage patterns via analytics and improve the product

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with third parties for marketing purposes.

Third-party services

We use the following third-party services to operate:

• Google OAuth - for sign-in authentication. Subject to Google's Privacy Policy.
• Dodo Payments - for payment processing. We do not store your payment card details. Subject to Dodo Payments' Privacy Policy.
• Transcript and YouTube data providers - services such as DataFetch and ScrapeCreators may be used to retrieve public transcripts or public video metadata.
• AI providers - services such as Google Gemini and OpenAI may process transcript text and video metadata to generate chapter suggestions and summaries.
• Google Analytics & Vercel Analytics - for website traffic analysis.
• Cloudflare Turnstile - when enabled, to reduce spam and automated abuse on selected forms.

Data storage and security

• Account, billing, job, and generation records are stored in our application database.
• TubeHarvest cloud export files may be stored on our server-side file storage until removed.
• Extension settings are stored locally in your browser and never leave your device.
• Extension access tokens are stored server-side in hashed form, with linked device records for account management and revocation.
• All communication between the extension and our API uses HTTPS.

Data retention

Account, billing, device, generation, and run records may be retained for as long as your account remains active and as needed for support, fraud prevention, accounting, and service operations. Public video transcript data and metadata may be cached even when a request came from the free tool. If you want your account data deleted, contact us and we will review the request and remove data we are not required to keep.

Your rights

You can:

• Revoke extension access by disconnecting devices or signing out of an extension.
• Uninstall an extension to remove locally stored extension settings from your browser.
• Request deletion of your server-side data by emailing us.
• Unsubscribe from the newsletter via the link in any email.

Children's privacy

Our services are not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be noted by updating the date at the top of this page.
